WOW! I can't believe it is already 2012! Who knew time could go so fast. Not really sure where 2011 went! We had such a busy year! Moving...Getting settled...Getting pregnant again...Celebrating our little girl turning 3 (and lots more in between)! With a new year I always think of what I want to change. The hubby and I said we would make 3 New Year's Resolutions...1 spiritual...1 personal...and 1 family. I have been thinking about it this week and I think I have come up with mine.
Spiritual Resolution: To walk closer with the Lord and give Him everything. I found this quote in my devotional today...
"Lord, here is my life, my plans, my aspirations, my dreams, as well as my weaknesses, shortcomings, and sins. I believe that Your plans are better than mine in the long run."
I think this fits perfectly. I know I try to give everything to Him but I still hold on to it quite a bit. I have got to get in the Word and increase my prayer life so that I can grow more every day in Him. I want to put Him first before anyone else! Another quote from my devotion today...I think this devotion was written perfectly for me:) Funny how God knows how to do that:)
"We are not possessed by possessions. It's fine to have clothes, a car, a house, and a career. It's fine to have friends, hobbies, and interests. But the true disciple should not be obsessed with these things. The only obsession a disciple should have is for Jesus Christ. He must be the most important pursuit in our lives. He must be more important than our career or our personal happiness."
Personal Resolution: I want to become a better homemaker for my family. I want to do a better job keeping up our home...cooking (including meal planning), cleaning, organizing (already working on this), crafting (finding the time), and getting back into shape (even though I am pregnant right now). I also want to be a better wife and mother to my sweet hubby and baby girl...and baby #2 on the way:) I also want to continue to be a better, more consistent blogger:)
Family Resolution: For my family I want us to enjoy the first 1/2 of the year with just the three of us! I want us to take more outings and do more activities...not just spending money but spending quality time having fun! The second 1/2 of the year I want us to enjoy our family of 4! We will get to know our newest addition to the family and enjoy time together growing as a bigger family!
2012 is going to be a busy, exciting, and fun-filled year! I can't wait to see what happens. I will keep you tuned in since I will be blogging more often:) Back to working on these resolutions!

We are uncertain of the next step but we are certain of God. We are graciously uncertain of the future details of our lives.

You are a wonderful beautiful wife and mother. Just enjoy each day. God tells us not to worry about tomorrow because today has enough troubles of its own. just love deeply and disciple your children, which is the greatest investment. Love ya both. Spend no time worrying because it is fruitless! Enjoy each day!
